I sold
my woodshop in 2019 and this mesquite is the remaining inventory of my
custom door business. All the wood has been aged and dried for 12 years
and can be used immediately.
I made many 8' - 10' high mesquite entry doors using 12/4 mesquite so
the wood had to be air dried for at least 4 years before I would use it.
I expected all my doors to last 200 years and using dry mesquite with
tradional mortise and tenon joinery assured they would last.
The inventory consists of 12/4, 8/4 and 4/4 native Arizona velvet mesquite lumber in 8', 10' and 12' lengths in varying widths with quite a few bookmatched slabs.

The 8'
x 20' x 8' high shipping container with the mesquite weighs 18 tons (36,000
lbs). The empty
container weighs 4,890 lbs.
Based on weight the container has 31,110 lbs (15.55 tons) of velvet mesquite
which weighs 53 lbs per cubic foot.
The shipping container
has 7000 bd. ft. of rough mesquite, allowing for 15% waste there is about
5950 bd ft of usuable mesquite.
Much of this mesquite is unavailable elsewhere at any price because it is 100% dry and premium quality.
Before anyone asks, no I am not sorting through 1000's of board feet to sell a couple of boards in the middle or uncover the 12' x 16" wide slabs on the bottom. I prefer selling the mesquite and shipping container as a single item. Buy it all the the container is free.
